General Terms & Conditions 2022

The Wholistic Being provides programs associated with Mental Health First Aid Australia as well as short mental health awareness-building and customised workshops.

Disclaimer

The following terms and conditions apply to any individual or organisation who registers for training with The Wholistic Being. Any exemptions sought must be communicated via email prior to the workshop being undertaken. Individual circumstances will be considered. Organisational Responsibility

Our workshops are designed for education and awareness and are not therapy sessions or opportunities for individuals to seek treatment. We are NOT a clinical service and will NOT give clinical advice. Given the nature of the topics discussed in the workshops, at the beginning of each workshop we will outline group safety guidelines. However, if there is a potential risk for any participants, the organisation and/or individual needs to communicate this with the facilitator. The Wholistic Being is not responsible for the impact or effect on individuals from course content or subsequent discussions.

Personal Information

For Mental Health First Aid workshops, we will need to put individuals’ information into the Mental Health First Aid database for accreditation purposes. For more information regarding this please visit www.mhfa.com.au. Otherwise, we will never give out personal information.

Course Cost

Depending on the course, delivery method, group size and other variables; a quote will be provided. Costs are subject to change at any time.

Payment

An invoice will be forwarded from our online accounting system, with options to pay via credit card or bank transfer. Payment MUST be made before the workshop is undertaken or before the date stated on the invoice. Late fees of 20% of the total may be applied for failure to pay on time. Any internal policy on payment times must be communicated to Lucy Harrington via lucy@thewholisticbeing.com.au prior to the invoice being sent.

Cancellation

If the cancellation is made with at least 4 weeks’ notice; a full refund will be offered. If less than two weeks’ notice is given, a 50% refund will be offered. Cancellation within 7 days of the workshop will result in 75% of the total invoice being charged. These measures are taken to cover costs for the planned workshop. For extenuating circumstances please contact Lucy Harrington via lucy@thewholisticbeing.com.au. If possible, a transfer of date will be sought; a cost may be incurred for this.

Powerpoint Slides

When attending a Mental Health First Aid Australia, the information does NOT belong to The Wholistic Being and slides will not be given to participants under any circumstances.

Insurance

The Wholistic Being has Civil Liability Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance; however, this may not cover injury, loss or damage sustained by an individual. For a copy of the Certificate of Currency, please contact Lucy Harrington via lucy@thewholisticbeing.com.au. We are NOT a clinical service and will direct you to seek clinical advice where needed. Our workshops source the most accurate information we have access to at the time, however as further research and development is made, this may change.
